Job Overview:

Coursera’s IT department is responsible for the Corporate tools and technology that are required for the company to operate efficiently and effectively. We are a growing IT department that plays an integral role in the company’s ability to perform its day-to-day tasks. While supporting an ever-growing number of users with top-tier tools and applications, our IT team is always aiming to achieve the highest goals and produce the best experience possible for our end users. 

As a NetSuite Finance Systems Analyst & QA, you will serve as the bridge within the Information Technology (IT) department, collaborating with business stakeholders on finance projects. Your responsibilities will include interpreting business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, driving the adoption of industry best practices, conducting system analysis and maintenance, troubleshooting issues, providing data analysis and reporting support, and offering continuous improvement initiatives. You will work with a global team to deliver solutions, provide support for production issues, configure and enhance NetSuite systems, and ensure data integrity through cleanup and migration activities. Additionally, you will be involved in project-related activities and end-user training.

Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with business associates from various areas to understand and interpret business requirements and translating them into technical/functional specifications.
  • Bringing in subject matter expertise in Finance Systems processes, promoting the adoption of leading industry practices as we build a scalable platform for the long-term.
  • Playing a key role in ongoing system analysis and maintenance, providing troubleshooting assistance and recommending best practices. This includes assisting with data analysis, reporting needs, continuous improvement initiatives, change management and optimized usage within NetSuite.
  • Developing solution options for business needs, testing customizations, custom objects, new functionalities, and Suite Apps based on changing business needs. Collaborating with a geographically distributed team of engineers, product managers, and QA across USA/India for solution delivery.
  • Providing Level 1 support to debug and troubleshoot production issues, coordinating with NetSuite Support on issues that require external resolution. Performing functional configuration and enhancements, system maintenance and business process testing for NetSuite maintenance.
  • Identifying requirements that cannot be met with standard NetSuite functionality, suggesting custom solutions. Assisting with data cleanup, conversions, import data, data migration, and providing project team and end-user training.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field. Master's degree is a plus. Relevant certifications like Netsuite Administrator Certification, Netsuite SuiteFoundation Certification are highly desirable.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience managing NetSuite or similar ERP systems, specifically in finance. Experience in the education or e-learning industry is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite administration, including configuration, customization, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of finance processes and systems, and skills in SQL or SuiteScript are desirable.
  • Excellent prioritization, analytical, and collaboration skills with meticulous attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Exce, and PowerPoint.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Meticulous attention to detail is necessary for system configuration, data migration, and ensuring data integrity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • The right resource will have a balance of strong NetSuite system experience (Admin) and Finance/Accounting acumen to aid in reporting
  • Experience with global or multinational business operations, understanding of international finance regulations and multi-currency skills.
  • Experience working in a multinational corporation with subsidiaries in multiple countries can provide valuable insights into global business operations, compliance requirements, and cross-cultural collaboration.
  • Strong understanding and experience with integrating Netsuite with other business systems, such as CRM or eCommerce platforms, is a plus, as it enhances data flow and streamlines processes.
  • Result-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills, a commitment to inclusion and diversity, and openness to new ideas and perspectives.
