Job Overview

The Marketing Strategy and Operations team at Coursera partners with all areas of the marketing organization and the enterprise sales team to drive revenue, design and execute marketing strategies, and lead internal processes to enhance productivity, leverage, and efficiency.

As a Technology specialist for Marketing Operations at Coursera, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the tools, platforms, and integrations that power our global marketing campaigns. You will help ensure data integrity, platform uptime, security compliance, and smooth workflows across Coursera’s marketing technology stack. Working closely with Marketing Ops, User teams ,Engineering teams as well as procurement and finance, you will enable Coursera to deliver efficient, compliant, and high-performing campaigns at scale.

Platform Administration & Maintenance

  • Serve as the primary administrator for marketing technology platforms (e.g., Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Amplitude, Twilio, Segment, Google Tag Manager).
  • Configure and maintain system settings, permissions, roles, and integrations across platforms.
  • Enforce compliance with security, privacy, and GDPR/CCPA guidelines in all systems in partnership with legal and privacy teams.

Data Management & Integrity

  • Monitor data flows between marketing platforms, CRM, and analytics tools to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support system integration projects between marketing platforms, CRM, and data warehouses.
  • Partner with Data Engineering to establish and enforce data governance, validation, and deduplication.

Contracts & Vendor Management

  • Work with Procurement and Legal teams to manage vendor contracts, renewals, and compliance requirements.
  • Evaluate vendor capabilities and align contract terms with business needs.
  • Track license usage and contract obligations to ensure cost efficiency.

Support & Training

  • Provide system support for marketing stakeholders, troubleshooting basic technical issues quickly.
  • Document processes, create SOPs, and train marketing teams on best practices for platform usage.
  • Act as the liaison between Marketing, IT, and vendor support teams.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track system performance, uptime, and error logs; proactively resolve issues.
  • Manage license usage, access controls, and platform audit logs.
  • Support compliance audits and provide reports on data/system usage.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Marketing Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience administering SaaS-based marketing platforms (e.g., Braze, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Amplitude, Segment, Twilio).
  • Strong understanding of APIs, webhooks, and integrations between marketing systems and CRMs.
  • Experience with user management, access controls, and data security policies.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred:

  • Experience in B2C or B2B SaaS/EdTech environments.
  • Familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, etc.).
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM).
  • Prior experience with Martech stack.
