Job Overview:
The Public Relations Manager I, APAC will sit on the global communications team and report to the APAC PR Lead. The role is fully-remote and India-based. The communications team is responsible for telling the story of how Coursera is shaping the future of work and education, and transforming lives through access to high-quality, job-relevant education. The team is a nimble, high-impact, and globally-distributed group that works with key business stakeholders and cross-functional partners in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to tell the right stories to the right audiences at the right time.
We’re looking for a mission-driven communications professional to support our APAC business including B2C, university and industry partnerships, and degrees and enterprise, with a focus on India, Singapore, Indonesia, the Phillipines, Thailand and other relevant markets. You’ll help craft media strategies that showcase Coursera as a top destination to help institutions lead skills development and for individuals to earn high-quality credentials. Coursera offers three solutions dedicated to each institution — Coursera for Business, Coursera for Governments, and Coursera for Campus. Together they convene an ecosystem of institutions to build a framework for lifelong learning that reaches people at every stage of civic life — during their studies, during their careers, and any point in between. You’ll work closely with cross-functional counterparts in marketing, public policy, customer success, sales and legal to support new announcements and launches. You’ll also lead proactive storytelling and thought leadership across the enterprise and consumer PR segment, craft story/messaging and media strategy around quarterly earnings, business milestones, and corporate momentum, as well as proactively build and deepen relationships with business of higher education, technology, and policy reporters. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller, fast learner, and self-starter, with a track record of building relationships with key Indian and APAC consumer and business media that lead to high-impact results.
