Job Overview

This role will join Coursera’s Finance team and play a strategic role in forecasting, business planning, performance reporting, and business analytics activities. In this role, you will own key components of Coursera’s revenue forecasting and planning processes, build and maintain key performance metrics, analyze and drive insights on those metrics. You  will bring outstanding planning and modeling skills with a willingness to learn about the industry. This role will be dedicated to helping stakeholders make well informed decisions based on Company financial analysis and performance. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, business acumen, and a passion for connecting data to meaningful business outcomes.

 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal consumer team stakeholders and FP&A team to define, track, analyze and report on key metrics 
  • Own analysis and reporting of underlying drivers of monthly business performance
  • Build and manage scalable financial models, such as regional forecast models, LTV/CAC, content benchmarking  and marketing to support planning and strategic decisions
  • Play a leading role in delivering daily/weekly business topline performance updates to executive leadership teams, and performing analysis to drive strategic business decisions
  • Partner with data analytics team & FP&A on creation and maintenance/update of dashboards
  • Support improvements to forecast/planning processes and systems to streamline efficiency

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive, relevant experience in FP&A
  • Demonstrated background to build strong relationships and establish credibility with diverse audiences and work collaboratively to deliver meaningful analyses and decision support
  • Direct experience with Excel, G-suite, NetSuite, Planning Systems like IBM TM1/Oracle Essbase
  • Ability to work with large volumes of data, drive insights through analysis, and communicating to business partners
  • Experience in Financial modeling, understand US GAAP revenue recognition standards

 

Nice to haves

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or other relevant quantitative field
  • Advanced Excel/Gsheet skills with the ability to create and operate complex financial models and automated reporting
  • Proven experience working with large volumes of data 
  • Experience with process re-engineering and improvement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively and communicate with all levels of the company
  • Internet Consumer business experience preferred



Compensation

This role is available in the following US Pay Zones:

US Zone 3: $92,862 - $109,250

US Zone 4: $86,402 - $101,650
